Rael was founded in 2017 by three Korean-American women — Yanghee Paik, Aness An, and Binna Won — initially as an organic period care brand. The Miracle Clear collection is the brand's acne-focused K-beauty line, launched in 2022 with cycle-syncing positioning for hormonal skin.
